Bradl ‘very happy’ with improving Honda

Stefan Bradl cracked the top three on Wednesday as pre-season testing continued at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit.

At the end of the first day, Bradl had cited front-end problems as a complaint and looked to concentrate on braking stability and front suspension settings during the second of this week’s three days of track running.

"Today I am very happy," said the LCR Honda MotoGP rider, who ended Wednesday third and only three thousandths of a second down on second-placed Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda Team.

"It’s good to be back up in the pack with Marc (Marquez) and Dani. We improved our lap time of one second and, thanks to adjustments on the front, I have gained more confidence under braking. We knew that our potential on this bike was higher and today we have been consistent and fast.

"I hope that we can continue in the same way tomorrow: we plan to work on race distance to finish this three-day test session with a good base for the future."

Last year, the 2011 Moto2™ World Champion came of age in the premier class, achieving second place on the podium from a maiden pole position at Laguna Seca.
